Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Telemetry unit. The selected candidate will work on a newly established 18-bed Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit supporting a diverse patient population, including those with sepsis, cellulitis, DVT/PE, CHF, COPD, COVID, PNA, and post-operative cases such as joint replacements and GI surgeries. The unit features a supportive environment with educational opportunities and a collaborative team.
Schedule & Shifts:
5/2 schedule: every Wednesday and Thursday
Work 4 days one week and 3 days the next
Weekend rotation: every other week
Holiday work: 2-3 holidays per year
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of RN experience in acute care setting (First-time travelers must meet this requirement)
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
NIHSS certification preferred
Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to onboarding
Support staff include charge nurses, HUC/Secretary, phlebotomy team, IV/VAT team, RT, hospitalist, OT/PT/ST
Orientation: 2-4 days hospital orientation followed by 2 days on-unit for experienced travelers

Attire: Gray, white, or black T-shirts with WK monogram, gray or black jackets
Badges must be worn above the waist and clearly visible
