Required Skills:
Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience as a staff RN.
Valid BLS and ACLS certifications.
NIHSS certification preferred.
Proficiency in wound management, JP drains, wound vacs, Hemodialysis Catheter care, PCA, and pain management.
Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to onboarding.
Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to manage diverse patient conditions, including sepsis, cellulitis, DVT/PE, CHF, COPD, COVID, PNA, and post-op care.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to float across different Med/Surg units as needed.
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with Meditech Expanse EMR system.
Skilled in IV therapy, PICC line placement, and managing support equipment such as Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication systems.
Prior experience working with hospitalist teams, RT, OT, PT, and ST services.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Registered nurse licensed and in good standing.
At least 2 years of recent, stable medical-surgical or telemetry nursing experience.
Prior experience in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Other Requirements:
Ability to undergo and pass a comprehensive EKG competency exam.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including every other weekend and two out of three holidays.
Willingness to work 4-day and 3-day weekly schedules with up to 7 days of requested time off, respecting the policy of extending leave if exceeding this limit.
No on-call responsibilities; work schedule includes day shifts without night shifts.
Must wear badges visibly above the waist at all times.

Must be separated for at least one year if previously employed as a permanent staff RN at the facility.
