Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients, adhering to established protocols and best practices.
Assist with oncology navigation and lung screening procedures, ensuring smooth patient flow and safety.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
Educate patients and their families on treatment options, side effects, and post-treatment care.
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation in electronic health records, including Cerner systems.
Ensure compliance with all applicable safety standards, including BLS certification.
Required Skills:
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in oncology or related specialty.
Valid Registered Nurse licensure in the relevant state.
Strong knowledge of oncology treatments, procedures, and patient care standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively within a team and manage a diverse patient population.
Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR), preferably Cerner systems.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with lung screening protocols.
Familiarity with oncology navigation services.
Prior travel nurse experience.
Additional certifications related to oncology or pulmonary care.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
At least 2 years of relevant clinical experience in oncology nursing.
Other Requirements:
Must be available for a schedule from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Travel may be required; flexibility and adaptability are essential.
Valid BLS certification is mandatory.
Candidate must be vaccinated against COVID-19 or adhere to organizational vaccination policies.
This stimulating position offers an hourly pay rate of $51.82, with a start date of June 10, 2024.
