Overview
We are seeking an experienced Oncology Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team starting June 10, 2024. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality inpatient care within our state-of-the-art Cerner-equipped Medical Oncology/Hematology unit. This role demands a proactive, patient-centered approach to support patients through their treatment journey, ensuring safety, comfort, and effective care coordination. The chosen candidate will play a crucial role in our commitment to excellence in oncology nursing.
Required Skills
Minimum of 2 years of recent relevant experience in an inpatient oncology setting
Valid RN license in good standing
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced healthcare environment
Experience with Cerner electronic health record system
Additional oncology-specific certifications or training
Prior experience in Hematology units
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher preferred
At least two years of inpatient oncology nursing experience specifically in medical oncology or hematology units
Other Requirements
Flexibility to work scheduled hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
Ability to travel and access reimbursements for licensure, certifications, and travel when applicable
Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to safety protocols
