In this role, you will independently manage diverse patient cases in a fast-paced setting, including orthopedic, colorectal, urology, sepsis, SBO, and geriatric gynecological patients. You will provide both routine and complex care, utilizing your clinical expertise to develop long-term care plans, prioritize patient needs, and coordinate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal outcomes. Your ability to adapt to contingencies and delegate appropriately will be vital in maintaining high standards of care.
Key responsibilities include performing comprehensive assessments, administering medications and treatments per protocol, documenting patient information accurately, and educating patients and their families. You will also demonstrate leadership by meeting professional competency standards and fostering a compassionate, patient-centered environment.
Required Skills:
Current RN license in Texas or a valid compact state license
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
At least 1 year of recent experience in a related nursing specialty
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Nice to Have Skills:
Previous experience in telemetry, med/surg, or similar settings
Additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS
Experience working with geriatric or specialized patient populations
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Minimum of 1 year of professional nursing experience in acute care settings
Other Requirements:
Travel flexibility and willingness to work night shifts (7 PM - 7 AM)
Able to start on or before January 19, 2026
