Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive nursing care in surgical settings, including routine and complex procedures.
Administer medications and treatments with adherence to protocols, monitoring for side effects and efficacy.
Document patient histories, symptoms, medications, and treatment plans accurately.
Assess and educate patients and their families, addressing psychological, emotional, and social needs.
Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members, delegating and managing contingencies as needed.
Meet professional standards aligned with ANA Scope and Standards of Practice and institutional competencies.
Required Skills:
Valid RN license in Texas or a compact state.
BLS certification from AHA.
At least 1 year of nursing experience in a surgical or OR setting preferred.
Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with diverse surgical procedures or specialties.
Additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS.
Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience in operating room or surgical settings.
Other Requirements:
Able to commit to a start date of 05/01/2026.
Willingness to work multiple shifts, including on-call and weekends.
Travel required; candidates should be flexible and adaptable.
