Join Our Team as an RN – Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center

Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled PICU RN to provide exceptional care to critically ill children. Required Skills:
  • Valid RN license in either a single-state or multi-state (compact) license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Adept at utilizing technology to support clinical decision-making
  • Capable of functioning effectively in a fast-paced environment and responding decisively to emergencies
  • Strong time management and organizational skills

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience in pediatric or critical care settings
  • Prior exposure to Epic electronic medical records system
  • Bilingual abilities for enhanced patient communication

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
  • Less than 1 year of direct patient care experience in a hospital setting
  • Completion of an accredited nursing program with required clinical hours

Other Requirements:
  • Night shift availability from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
  • Willingness to obtain additional certifications if not already held
  • Contract start date: 01/26/2026, with an initial 8-week assignment
  • Certifications not currently in hand must be noted, with willingness to obtain upon hire
  • RTO request limit of 3 days; block scheduling not offered
  • Certification requirements include RN licensure (single state or multi-state), BLS, and PALS (or equivalent within 180 days)
  • No travel required, but documentation for licensure, certifications, and reimbursements will be provided
