Required Skills:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cardiovascular Cath Lab environment
Proficiency with Mac Lab systems, intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impella devices, temporary pacemakers, and right heart catheterization
Strong knowledge of cardiovascular physiology and hemodynamics
Valid Kansas RN license or compact licensure
Current BLS and ACLS certification
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience attending KU NEO or similar orientation programs
Additional certifications related to cardiology or critical care
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-stakes setting
Preferred Education and Experience:
Active Kansas RN license or multi-state compact license
At least 2 years of specialized cardiovascular laboratory experience, including familiarity with intra-aortic balloon pumps and Impella devices
Other Requirements:
This role involves working four 10-hour shifts from Monday to Friday, with scheduling determined by staffing needs
No floating responsibilities required
Rotational on-call duties and holiday work may be required based on unit needs
Nicotine-free facility environment
Willingness to attend pre-employment orientation at KU NEO on the first Monday and Tuesday of your start week (8:30 am – 4:30 pm)
Must be ready to start on or around 04/27 or 05/11, with shifts that provide comprehensive experience and career growth
