Are you a dedicated Registered Nurse with a passion for behavioral health and inpatient care? We’re seeking a highly motivated Temp RN to provide compassionate, high-quality nursing services during night shifts at a facility committed to patient well-being. Required Skills:
Current RN license valid in New York State
Experience with inpatient behavioral health populations
Proficiency in utilizing the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced setting
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Knowledge of de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention
Nice to Have Skills:
Previous inpatient behavioral health or psychiatric experience
Familiarity with Welle de-escalation training or CPI Crisis Prevention training
Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations
Ability to efficiently manage a patient load in a setting with a ratio of approximately 1:9
BLS/CPR certification
Preferred Education and Experience:
Registered Nurse with valid NY State licensure
Minimum one year of clinical experience in behavioral health or psychiatric care
Prior experience working with EPIC EMR system preferred
Other Requirements:
Valid New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate (must be uploaded at application)
Completion of 14-panel drug screening within 24 hours of offer acceptance
Up-to-date de-escalation training (Welle or CPI preferred)
Personal scrubs, no designs or cartoons; no hoodies
Ability to work night shifts (including weekends and holidays, with multipliers of x1.25)
Willingness to adhere to facility policies, including COVID vaccination encouragement (not required)
RTO requests limited to a maximum of 5 days and must be verified at upload
Successful completion of a 8-hour non-billable orientation
This position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $63.65, weekly pay via direct deposit, comprehensive medical benefits, paid sick time, and a robust referral bonus program.
