Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Temp Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical and Telemetry units. This vital role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality patient care during night shifts, ensuring positive health outcomes for adult and geriatric populations. Key Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a Med Surg/Telemetry unit.
Accurately interpret, measure, and document cardiac rhythms twice per shift.
Follow departmental policies, procedures, and safety standards to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Adhere to dress code of personal scrubs without designs or cartoons and maintain a professional appearance.
Comply with necessary documentation and shift requirements, including time-off requests submitted in advance.
Participate in an 8-hour non-billable orientation and comply with all facility policies including COVID vaccination (encouraged but not mandatory).
Required Skills:
Valid NY Registered Nurse (RN) license and current state registration.
Proven Epic EMR experience.
Ability to interpret and document cardiac rhythms accurately.
Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
Flexibility to work night shifts and adhere to unit standards.
Nice to Have Skills:
Previous experience in Med Surg and Telemetry care.
Knowledge of Welle or CPI de-escalation training programs.
Experience with remote telemetry monitoring systems.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Current RN license in New York state.
Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience in acute care settings.
Prior experience with Epic EMR preferred.
Other Requirements:
New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate required—must be included with application.
Ability to pass a 14-panel drug screening within 24 hours of offer acceptance.
Certification in CPR/BLS required.
Up to 5 days of RTO (Requested Time Off) will be accepted; all requests must be verified at upload.
Willingness to adhere to facility cancellation policies, including up to five shifts canceled with two hours' notice.
