Hours per Week: 36-40 hours (based on schedule)
Employment Type: Contract/Travel RN
Licensing/Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS or ENPC, CPI or MOAB, TNCC (preferred)
Experience: Minimum 2 years ED experience, pediatric and adult patient care
Provide emergency care to pediatric and geriatric patients, including those with cardiac, diabetic, renal, infectious, trauma, and stroke needs
Perform procedures such as IV starts, NGT insertions, chest tube management, defibrillation, and stroke assessments
Manage patient conditions using advanced skills like ICU GTT and ED-specific protocols
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, RT, radiology, and support staff
Follow hospital policies and compliance requirements, including passing pre-arrival competency exams
Document patient care accurately in Meditech Expanse EMR system
Support unit operations during shifts, including triage, fast track, and patient flow management
What You Need
Required:
Active RN license in Louisiana or compact state
Minimum 2 years ED experience
Valid BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS or ENPC, CPI or MOAB certifications
Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
Strong trauma and emergency procedure skills
Preferred:
TNCC certification
Experience with ICU GTT management and advanced trauma care
Adaptability to flexible shift rotations and quick-paced environment
