Shift: 12H Night shift (long hours for optimal coverage)
Hours/Week: 36-40 hours per week (based on rotation)
Experience: Minimum 2 years ED experience, critical care skills required
Pay & Benefits:
Hourly Rate: $50.25/hour

What You’ll Do:
Provide expert nursing care to a diverse patient population in the Emergency Department.
Manage patients with acuity levels ranging from minor injuries to critical trauma cases.
Administer medications, including critical care drips and titrations, and interpret cardiac rhythms.
Support airway management, ventilator management, and critical interventions.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including hospitalists, ED physicians, RTs, and charge nurses.
Document care accurately using Meditech Expanse EMR system.
Uphold patient safety standards, including seizure protocols, stroke interventions, and trauma stabilization.
What You Need:
Required:
Active Louisiana RN license
BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications
Minimum 2 years of ED experience, critical care skills including ventilator management and cardiac monitoring
Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to arrival
Preferred:
Experience with emergent trauma and stroke protocols
Ability to work night shifts and handle high-acuity cases effectively

This assignment takes place in a 29-bed Emergency Department, treating a wide range of acuity levels with multispecialty support, including medical, cardiac, neuro, ortho, and trauma cases. The unit culture is traveler-friendly, emphasizing professionalism and patient-centered care. The facility provides support staff such as in-house RT, hospitalist, and ED physicians, and offers a comprehensive orientation to ensure your success on arrival.
