We are seeking dedicated Telemetry RNs to work on a brand new 18-bed Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit within a rapidly growing facility. This role offers an excellent opportunity to expand your skills, work with diverse patient populations, and enjoy a supportive team dedicated to your professional success. With a focus on patient-centered care, you'll be essential in managing a variety of complex conditions including sepsis, DVT/PE, CHF, COPD, COVID, and post-operative care for surgeries such as total joints and abdominal procedures.
Required Skills:
Valid RN license with current state credentials
Minimum of 2 years of acute care RN experience, first-time travelers must meet this requirement if previously employed as permanent staff
Proficiency in wound management, JP drain care, wound vacs, hemodialysis catheter care, and PCA management
Ability to PASS an EKG competency exam prior to arrival
BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory
NIHSS certification is required
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with Meditech Expanse EMR system
Knowledge of RT, OT, PT, and Speech Therapy procedures
Flexibility to float across various Med/Surg units within the hospital
Experience with IV pumps (Alaris), Pyxis medication dispensing
Preferred Education and Experience:
Active RN license in good standing
At least 2 years of relevant acute care experience in Med/Surg or telemetry units
Previous experience in a similar hospital setting
Other Requirements:
Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
Ability to work 4-day and 3-day schedules, including every other weekend rotation
Willingness to work 2-3 holidays per year
Must wear designated scrubs (Pewter color) and badges properly at all times
No call required, but the role may involve floating to different units as needed
Parking available in designated areas
