Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Nurse in Telemetry and make a meaningful impact on patient care in a growing medical-surgical/telemetry unit. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility specializing in a variety of clinical conditions, including sepsis, cellulitis, DVT/PE, CHF, COPD, COVID, and PNA, among others. What You Will Do:
Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients in a fast-paced telemetry environment.
Monitor and interpret EKGs, ensuring patient safety and timely interventions.
Manage wound care, JP drains, wound vacs, Hemodialysis catheter care, fistulas, PCA, and pain management.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Support patients through post-op surgeries, including Total Joints and GI/Abdominal procedures.
Adapt to float across different Med/Surg units as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
Required Skills:
Valid RN license.
BLS and ACLS certifications.
NIHSS certification.
Must pass an EKG competency exam prior to start.
Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care RN experience.
Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Nice to Have Skills:
Prior telemetry experience.
Experience with Meditech Expanse EMR.
Wound management expertise.
Knowledge of hemodialysis and vascular access procedures.
Bilingual abilities.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Prior experience in a similar medical-surgical/telemetry setting.
First-time traveler candidates must have at least 2 years of perm staff RN experience; previous employment must be separated for at least one year if previously a perm staff.
Other Requirements:
Certified in BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
Must successfully pass an EKG competency exam.
Ability to work 4 days one week and 3 days the next, including every other weekend rotation.
Will work approximately 2-3 holidays per year.
Scrub color: Pewter; uniform shirts grey, white, or black with WK monogram; jackets grey or black.
Must wear badges above waist and in full view.

No on-call requirement.
Up to 7 days of planned time off, with a one-week extension for each full week requested beyond that; declines for more than 7 days RTO.
Thorough orientation including 2-4 days hospital-based and 2 days on-unit training.

Hourly Pay Rate: $46.90
