Licensure/Certifications: Active RN license in Louisiana, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent acute care RN experience; prior telemetry experience required

What You’ll Do:
Provide quality nursing care to telemetry patients with diverse medical conditions such as sepsis, CHF, COPD, COVID, PNA, and post-op surgeries
Monitor patient vital signs and clinical data, including EKG interpretation and wound management
Administer medications, prepare and maintain JP drains, wound vacs, and hemodialysis access care
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including charge nurses, hospitalists, RTs, and therapy staff
Document patient care accurately in Meditech Expanse EMR system
Float seamlessly across various Med/Surg units as needed
Ensure patient safety and comfort during 12-hour night shifts
What You Need:
Valid Louisiana RN license (or eligible for licensure)
Minimum 2 years of recent acutely cared RN experience, with telemetry background
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
Ability to pass EKG competency exam prior to placement
Strong wound care, IV, and pain management skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
About the Assignment:
This position is based on a newly established Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit within a well-regarded hospital in Shreveport, LA. The unit primarily handles diverse patient cases, including post-surgical, cardiovascular, respiratory, and infectious conditions. Please note: Travelers will be scheduled to work every other weekend, with up to 2-3 holidays during the assignment. No on-call required.
