Join Our Team as a Registered Nurse - PICU and Make a Difference in Critical Care
Embark on a rewarding career opportunity as a Registered Nurse in our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients with complex conditions such as MS, DKA, Sepsis, Respiratory Failure, and post-op spinal or neuro surgeries.
Titrate medications including pressors, insulin, heparin, and sedation agents with confidence.
Perform PIV, CVL, telemetry, wound care, drain management, and utilize wound vacs.
Collect peripheral blood draws, manage central lines, and support multidisciplinary team members including RTs and hospitalists.
Adapt to floating duties across PICU, Adult ICU, and Med/Tele units with appropriate approval.
Maintain compliance with certifications such as BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and NRP (preferred).
Required Skills:
Minimum of 2 years of PICU experience, with cross-training for ICU/Med-Surg preferred.
Proficiency in PIV, CVL placement, telemetry management, and medication titration.
Ability to pass an EKG competency exam and demonstrate strong critical thinking and clinical judgment.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills.
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience working in adult ICU or step-down units.
Additional certifications or experience with neuro patients (e.g., EVD drains).
Ability to work in a high-acuity setting and handle complex patient diagnoses.
Preferred Education & Experience:
Registered Nurse license required.
2+ years of PICU experience preferred; candidates with previous ICU experience and relevant skills highly encouraged to apply.
Other Requirements:
Availability to work 4-day and 3-day shifts on a rotating schedule.
Willingness to work approximately 2 holidays per year and every other weekend.
Must wear designated scrubs (gray, white, or black with WK monogram), badges, and adhere to dress code.

Must successfully pass a competency exam and comply with all hospital policies.
Travel and licensure reimbursements provided when applicable.
