Registered Nurse - PCU

What You’ll Bring:
Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience in a PCU setting.
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications; LVAD certification preferred for 2 West unit.
Proficiency in titrating cardiac drips, insulin, vasopressors, and managing complex cardiac equipment.
Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to start.
Strong clinical skills including central line management, chest tubes, wound care, and management of various drains/tubes.
Excellent critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
Ability to adapt quickly to a diverse patient population with complex needs.
Nice to Have:
Experience managing LVADs and temporary pacemakers.
Additional certifications or training in advanced cardiac or critical care procedures.
Previous experience working with EMR systems like Meditech Expanse.
Bilingual skills or additional language proficiency.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) highly preferred.
At least 2 years of current acute care RN experience, emphasizing cardiac or medical stepdown units.
Prior travel nursing experience is a plus but not mandatory, provided the minimum experience criteria are met.
Other Requirements:
Mandatory certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule including every other weekend, 2/3 major holidays, and shifts that include 4-day and 3-day workweeks.
No on-call requirement; must be available for orientation and possible unit float to other medical stepdown or med-surg units on occasion.
Must wear designated PPE including pewter scrubs, and badges must be worn visibly at all times.

Ability to work effectively in a diverse, traveler-friendly environment.
For first-time travelers, two years of permanent acute care RN experience required; separated for one year if previously employed as permanent staff.

Hourly Pay Rate: $50.25
Weekly pay via direct deposit
