Join Our Team as a Registered Nurse - PCU and Make a Difference in Patient Care!
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse for our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) to deliver exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, supportive environment. This vital role offers an opportunity to work with complex patient cases, including Post-Stroke, Post-Cardiac, and post-surgical patients, ensuring they receive the highest quality care. Required Skills:
Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience as a licensed RN
Valid BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications
Proficiency in cardiac monitoring and managing titratable infusions (e.g., Cardene, Cardizem, Insulin, Heparin, Neo, Levophed)
Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Experience with chest tube management, tracheostomy care, and lumbar drains is preferred
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with Peritoneal Dialysis
Knowledge of EMR systems, specifically Meditech Expanse
Ability to support patient procedures such as phlebotomy, IV therapy, and telemetry monitoring
Adaptability to unit float requirements (Stepdown and Med/Surg units)
Preferred Education and Experience:
Valid RN licensure
At least 2 years of relevant acute care experience
Previous experience in a PCU or similar high-acuity setting
Other Requirements:
Pass an EKG competency exam prior to deployment
Willingness to work a flexible schedule including 4- or 3-day shifts, rotating weekends, and holidays
Ability to work night shifts on a 5/2 schedule
Up to 7 days of approved time off, with extension for longer requests
Professional attire including gray, white, or black scrubs with WK monogram, and proper badge placement

Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly Pay Rate: $46.90
