Registered Nurse - PCU

In this role, you will care for patients with conditions such as respiratory failure, sepsis, stroke, DKA, post-heart catheterization, and post-arteriogram procedures. You’ll be responsible for maintaining a patient ratio of 1:3, ensuring quality care through skilled assessment, intervention, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, detail-oriented, and committed to professionalism in a high-acuity setting.
Required Skills:
Minimum of 2 years’ recent acute care experience as a registered nurse
Certification in BLS and ACLS
NIHSS certification
Ability to PASS an EKG competency exam prior to deployment
Proficiency in CVL management, foley catheter care, tube feeding, arterial line handling, and diabetes management
Experience with medication drip titration, including Levophed, Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin
Strong critical thinking skills, adaptability, and excellent communication
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience working in a stroke or med-surg unit
Prior travel nursing experience
Knowledge of Meditech Expanse EMR system
Ability to float between units including stroke and medical-surgical floors
Preferred Education and Experience:
Valid RN license recognized in the state of employment
At least 2 years of recent, full-time clinical experience in an acute care setting
Experience with complex patient care and emergency interventions
Other Requirements:
Must be vaccinated and hold current licensure, certification, and relevant travel reimbursements
Will be required to pass an EKG competency exam
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including every other weekend, with 4-day or 3-day shift rotations
No on-call responsibilities; work will include holidays as scheduled
Scrub color: Pewter; uniform with gray, white, or black T-shirts and jackets in shades of gray or black
Must maintain strict professionalism, without cell phone use or eating in patient care areas
Parking provided in designated areas
Additional reimbursements for licensure, certifications, travel, and other expenses
Hourly Pay Rate: $50.25
