Registered Nurse - PCU
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and make a meaningful difference in patient outcomes. This critical role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse patient population in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality care to those experiencing conditions such as respiratory failure, sepsis, stroke, DKA, post-heart cath, and post-arteriogram/atherectomy. Your expertise will contribute to a dedicated team committed to excellence in patient recovery and safety.
What You Need to Succeed:
Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience as a licensed RN
Valid BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to assignment
Proficiency in CVL management/placement, Foley catheter care, tube feeding via NGT or PEG, arterial lines, and blood glucose management
Experience with drip titration including Levophed (preferred), Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin
Strong critical thinking, adaptability, and excellent communication skills
Ability to float to Stroke and Med/Surg units as needed
Must wear appropriate scrubs (Pewter) and maintain professionalism at all times
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with Meditech Expanse EMR and Alaris infusion pumps
Familiarity with PICC/midline placement procedures
Prior experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced setting or with complex patient cases
Preferred Education and Experience:
Active RN license in the state of assignment
At least 2 years of recent experience in acute inpatient settings
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Other Requirements:
Availability to start on 05/04/2026
Ability to work every other weekend and 3- or 4-day shifts per week (schedule varies)
No call duty; work scheduled holidays as part of holiday rotation
Willingness to adhere to unit policies, including scrubs and badge standards
