Registered Nurse - PCU

Required Skills:
Valid RN licensure with at least 2 years of recent acute care experience
proficiency in PCU-level nursing, including NIHSS assessment
Experience with CVA, TIA, and critical care procedures
Management of CVLs, Foley catheters, tube feedings (NGT/PEG), arterial lines, and blood glucose monitoring
Drip titration skills with Levophed (preferred), Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin
Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to placement
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with PICC/midline placement (PICC team support)
Familiarity with Meditech Expanse EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication systems
Ability to float to Stepdown or Med/Surg units as needed
Experience working in high-volume, fast-paced environments
Preferred Education and Experience:
An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Minimum of two years of recent RN experience in acute care settings, including first-time travelers with the required experience
Other Requirements:
Must be separated for at least one year if previously employed as a permanent staff RN
Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and a flexible schedule, including 4-day or 3-day weekly rotations
Ability to work in a professional environment, maintaining high standards of patient confidentiality and safety
No call responsibilities; will work every other weekend and major holidays as scheduled
Scrub color: Pewter; uniforms in gray, white, or black with WK monogram
Must wear badges above the waist at all times
Parking provided in designated areas
