Join Our Team as a Registered Nurse - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Are you a dedicated Registered Nurse passionate about neonatal care? We are seeking compassionate and experienced professionals to provide exceptional care in our Level-2 nursery and high-risk delivery units. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable newborns and their families while advancing your nursing career.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive, age-appropriate nursing care to neonates during high-risk deliveries and in the NICU.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for patients and their families.
Supervise and delegate tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel within scope of practice.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate documentation of care activities, assessments, and evaluations.
Provide education and support to families, addressing their questions and concerns.
Float to postpartum units when necessary, ensuring seamless patient care coverage.
Attend ongoing training, safety programs, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Current Massachusetts RN license.
BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
NRP certification.
Proven experience in special care nursing of newborns preferred.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
Nice to Have Skills:
Previous travel experience in neonatal or obstetric nursing.
Experience with deliveries and postpartum care.
Ability to adapt to rotating shifts and weekend work.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Registered Nurse with at least 1-2 years of relevant neonatal or obstetric nursing experience.
Other Requirements:
Night shift availability (12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM)
Willingness to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
Must provide coverage for Mother/Baby, Labor, and Delivery units as needed.
Successful completion of all mandatory in-services and safety programs.
This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $65.77, with weekly pay via direct deposit, comprehensive medical benefits, paid sick leave, and additional reimbursements for licensure, certification, travel, and related expenses.
