We are seeking highly skilled ICU RNs with a minimum of 2 years of acute care experience, including stroke management, ventilator support, intubation assistance, CVL management, Foley catheter care, and tube feeding procedures. Previous experience in neuro, surgical, and general med-surg units is preferred. Certified in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS, you must also pass an EKG competency exam prior to onboarding.
The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to adapt to floating between units such as stepdown, stroke, and med-surg, with frequent assignments to MedSurg. Experience with Meditech Expanse EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing is desirable. A professional demeanor and commitment to patient safety are essential.
Preferred educational background includes an RN license with at least two years of relevant ICU, stroke, or neuro experience. First-time travelers are welcome if they meet the experience criteria. Candidates must be separated from their previous employment for at least one year if previously a permanent staff RN.
Additional requirements include flexibility in scheduling (including every other weekend work, holidays, and varying shift rotations), ability to work 12-hour shifts, and adherence to unit dress code (pewter scrubs and monogrammed T-shirts). No on-call duties are required, but working major holidays is expected.
