We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in ICU to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Mandatory Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of current ICU experience in acute care settings.
Valid BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
Proven experience with stroke patient management, ventilator care, intubation/extubation, CVL placement/management, Foley catheter management, and tube feeding via NGT or PEG.
Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to start.
Strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and adaptability.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience working with respiratory failure, stroke, sepsis, renal failure, and neuro conditions such as craniotomies, spinal injuries, and TBI.
Familiarity with Meditech Expanse EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing systems.
Ability to float confidently across units, including Stepdown, Stroke, and MedSurg.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Valid RN license.
At least 2 years of ICU or medical-surgical experience in relevant settings.
Prior travel nursing experience is advantageous but not required for seasoned RNs.
Other Requirements:
Must be separated from previous employment for at least 1 year if previously a permanent staff nurse.
Willingness to work 4-day or 3-day workweeks with alternating schedules, including weekends and holidays on a rotation basis.
No on-call duties; scheduled work only.
Able to work in a traveler-friendly environment offering support and professional development.
Ability to work comfortably floating between units such as Stepdown, Stroke, and MedSurg.
Present a professional appearance: pewter scrub color, gray/white/black T-shirts with WK monogram, and gray or black jackets.
This position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $50.25, weekly pay schedule via direct deposit, comprehensive medical benefits, a rewarding referral bonus program, ongoing support from a dedicated team, and paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws. Additional reimbursements for licensure, certifications, travel, and related expenses are provided when required.
