Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department and make a critical difference in patients’ lives during their most vulnerable moments. In this pivotal position, you will provide urgent care to diverse patient populations, including pediatrics, in a 41-bed facility featuring private exam rooms and an accelerated care unit. With a median ED census of 75, your expertise will help ensure timely, compassionate treatment while managing complex cases in a demanding setting.
Required Skills:
Valid permanent Massachusetts nursing license
Minimum of 2 years of emergency department experience
Proficiency with Meditech Expanse 6 electronic medical records preferred
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and multitask effectively
Experience with pediatric patient care
Nice to Have Skills:
Prior travel nursing experience
Familiarity with fast track and high-volume ED environments
Additional certifications in trauma or pediatric advanced life support
Bilingual abilities to assist diverse patient populations
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher degree
Recent ED experience (2+ years) in busy hospital settings
Proven ability to adapt quickly to new environments as a traveler or local staff
Other Requirements:
Willingness to work 12-hour night shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., including four weekend shifts per month
Up-to-date references from recent supervisors or charge nurses in ED
Ability to start as soon as possible, ideally by 1/20/2026, with full compliance within 2 weeks
Current certifications and experience with Meditech Expanse 6 are preferred
Compensation:
Hourly Pay Rate: $75.17
