What You’ll Do
Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients, including post-surgical, COPD, CHF, PNA, DVT/PE, and other general med-surg cases
Monitor and manage telemetry patients, including IV management and tube/drain care (JP drains, NG tubes, wound vacs, peg tubes)
Administer medications, including non-titratable IV meds such as Heparin and IVIG
Perform patient assessments and document clinical information accurately using EMR (Meditech Expanse)
Support patient safety and comfort, float within scope as needed
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, phlebotomists, RTs, and hospitalist staff
What You Need
Valid RN license in the state of practice
Minimum 2 years of recent MedSurg/Telemetry experience, including IV and tube management
Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
Ability to pass EKG competency exam prior to start
Strong skills in telemetry monitoring, medication administration, and patient assessment
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and float as needed
About the Assignment
Join a well-respected hospital unit caring for adult patients with a variety of medical conditions. The unit is equipped with EMR (Meditech Expanse), IV pumps (Alaris), and Pyxis medication dispensing systems. You will be part of a team that values compassionate care, professionalism, and teamwork while providing a safe environment for patients. Orientation includes hospital-wide and unit-specific training. The unit operates on a 13-week flexible schedule with every other weekend rotation, and holiday shifts are expected.
