Start Date: 06/15/2026
End Date: TBD / Open-ended assignment
Shift: Primary shift 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM, Monday-Friday; flexible shifts available
Hours per week: Approximately 40 hours
Employment Type: Full-time
Licenses/Certifications: Active RN license (state or compact), BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC
Experience: 1+ year in perioperative or PACU nursing preferred

Pay rate: $50.25/hour

What You’ll Do
Provide pre- and post-operative nursing care for a diverse patient population, from newborns to geriatrics
Monitor and manage patients transitioning from PACU to appropriate care settings, including critical care transfer
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per protocols
Document patient assessments, treatments, and progress accurately
Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and post-op care
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and meet clinical goals
Respond to emergent situations with critical care skills and judgment
What You Need
Required:
Active RN license (state of Louisiana or valid compact license)
BLS, ACLS, and PALS or ENPC certification from AHA
Minimum 1 year of PACU or perioperative nursing experience
Preferred:
Experience in orthopedics, general surgery, vascular, ENT, urology, or breast reconstruction care
Ability to work various shifts as needed and handle critical care transfers
