Required Skills:
Valid RN license in Texas or a compact state
BLS certification (American Heart Association)
At least 1 year of recent experience in perioperative or surgical nursing
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and patient management skills
Ability to independently evaluate situations and provide appropriate care
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Nice to Have Skills:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher
Experience with diverse surgical procedures
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
Prior travel nursing experience
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred
Minimum 1 year of operating room or surgical nursing experience in a hospital setting
Other Requirements:
Willingness to travel nationwide for assignments
Ability to work a shift from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, including one weekend per month
Adaptability to various hospital protocols and environments
Commitment to maintaining certifications and licensing in compliance with state and federal regulations
