Job Description:
Seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join the OR team at Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have experience in the operating room environment, possess strong critical thinking skills, and be committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
Shift Details: Day Shift: 06:45 AM - 05:15 PM, 3 days per week. Primarily Monday through Friday, with potential weekend call shifts. There is a 30-minute callback requirement, and on-call rotation is per unit schedule.
Certifications Required:
All certifications must be obtained upon hire unless otherwise noted.
BLS – Basic Life Support (or ARC – American Red Cross Basic Life Support)
RN License (Single State or Multi-State Compact)
Education Required:
Minimum: Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma from an accredited nursing program
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Experience:
Less than 1 year of direct patient care experience required
Experience in the operating room preferred
Skills & Qualifications:
Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
Basic computer skills and proficiency in technology to support clinical care
Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies confidently and respectfully
Strong time management, critical thinking, and evidence-based nursing practices
Hourly Pay Rate: $46.90
