Job Description:
As a Float Pool Critical Care RN, you will serve as a vital member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, providing high-quality, safe, patient-centered care to diverse patient populations in a dynamic clinical environment. You will support the delivery of individualized care, ensure adherence to evidence-based practices, and collaborate effectively across departments. You will be responsible for performing nursing assessments, planning and implementing care, and evaluating patient outcomes, all while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies. Prior experience in critical care, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced setting are essential for success in this role.
Core Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans
Deliver relationship-based, culturally sensitive patient care aligned with evidence-based standards
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Document clinical interventions accurately and in a timely manner
Coordinate and support interdisciplinary rounds and patient education
Promote and participate in performance improvement initiatives
Serve as a preceptor or mentor for new staff and students as needed
Support resource management and clinical protocol development
Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
Active RN license (single state or multi-state compact)
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required upon hire
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
Less than 1 year of direct patient care experience required; preferred candidates with critical care background
Strong critical thinking, interpersonal, and time-management skills
Ability to utilize clinical technology and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment
