Job Description
Registered Nurse – Critical Care ICU
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Nurse dedicated to providing exceptional patient care in our Intensive Care Unit. This vital role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment where your skills and expertise make a real difference in patients' lives. We are seeking highly motivated professionals committed to excellence and compassionate care.
Required Skills:
Minimum of 2 years of ICU RN experience, ideally within Level 1 or 2 Trauma Centers
Proficient in managing CTS and Neuro patients
Current RN licensure
Valid BLS, ACLS certifications
Knowledge of NIHSSEMR systems and familiarity with Altera Sunrise (similar to Cerner)
Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
Ability to float between ICU and Stepdown/PCU units as needed
Nice to Have Skills:
Trauma Nursing Certification (TNCC)
Experience in neuro and trauma patient management
Additional certifications or specialized training in critical care
Preferred Education and Experience:
Oncology or critical care background with at least 2 years of relevant ICU experience
Prior experience in Level 1 or 2 Trauma Centers preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or higher degree preferred
Other Requirements:
Ability to work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Every 3rd weekend, occasional holiday shifts, and on-call availability
Able to take part in required orientations including hospital-specific and clinical training
Nicotine-free facility and compliance with all health and safety protocols
Must be prepared for floating to allied units based on census and staffing needs
