Are you a dedicated Registered Nurse seeking an engaging opportunity in a dynamic Cath Lab environment? Join our team to provide top-tier cardiac and peripheral vascular care in Southwest Oklahoma. This pivotal role allows you to utilize your skills in a specialized setting, supporting innovative procedures and contributing to patient outcomes with a progressive healthcare team.
In this position, you will be responsible for monitoring patients during complex cath lab procedures, including Left and Right Heart Catheters, PTCA, Stenting, Thrombectomy, Atherectomy, Carotid stenting, Pacemaker insertions, and various diagnostic and interventional peripheral procedures. Your expertise will ensure patient safety and comfort throughout their treatment journey. The role involves working an 8-hour day shift with rotating call responsibilities during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. You will also assist with pre and post-procedure care, patient transport, and other duties as assigned, supporting a comprehensive care approach.
Required Skills:
Valid and active RN license in Oklahoma or compact license
Minimum of 2 years of critical care or cath lab nursing experience
Proficiency in patient monitoring systems such as Philips Laser System, IVUS, OCT, and atherectomy devices
Experience with LEXISCAN Stress Test monitoring
Strong understanding of cardiac and peripheral interventional procedures
Excellent patient assessment and documentation skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Nice to Have Skills:
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Experience with McKesson Hemodynamic System and Siemens Artis Zee C-arms
Prior experience assisting with pre and post-procedure patient care
Knowledge of peripheral and carotid procedures beyond basic requirements
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher degree
At least 2 years of specialized cath lab nursing experience
Previous experience working with cardiovascular and peripheral intervention teams
Other Requirements:
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Willingness to rotate between responsibilities as needed
Certifications and licensure up to date
Reliable transportation for patient or equipment transfer duties, if applicable
Willingness to adhere to all hospital safety and procedural protocols
