Job Description
Quick Facts
Provide direct nursing care in the Cardiac Cath Lab across cardiovascular procedures
Support safe, high-quality patient care by applying strong cardiovascular and hemodynamic knowledge
Assist with/monitor patients during cath lab procedures, including advanced cardiovascular interventions
Maintain clinical competency with Mac Lab workflows and cath lab documentation expectations
Monitor and respond to patient status changes to support effective outcomes
Coordinate with the cath lab team to ensure smooth, efficient patient care delivery
Follow facility protocols for patient safety and clinical standards (including nicotine-free facility expectations)
What You Need
Required
Active KS RN License or Compact
BLS & ACLS
2+ years cardiovascular Cath Lab RN experience
Mac lab experience
Strong cardiovascular and hemodynamic knowledge
Experience with at least some of the following (as applicable to your background):
Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)
Impella
Temporary pacemakers
Right heart cath
Preferred
Additional experience with advanced cardiac devices/interventions used in cath lab settings
Familiarity with cath lab procedure flow and team-based care
About the Assignment
This contract assignment is for a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Cath Lab at a leading facility in Kansas City, Kansas. The role supports a fast-paced cardiovascular environment and requires strong hemodynamic knowledge and cath lab experience. Orientation includes attending KU NEO on the Monday and Tuesday of your starting week from 8:30 AM–4:30 PM.
