Required Skills:
Valid RN license (Single State RN or Multi-state Compact RN)
BLS certification (ARC-BLS or BLS-I)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification (PALS-I or PALS-P) within 180 days
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification (ACLS-I or ACLS-P) within 180 days
Strong communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking)
Proficient in technology use supporting clinical care and basic computer skills
Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations with critical thinking and sound judgment
Excellent interpersonal skills, teamwork, and customer service orientation
Time management and organizational skills for multitasking in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with emergency department procedures and protocols
Previous healthcare experience in a hospital setting
Familiarity with electronic health record systems
Preferred Education and Experience:
Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Less than 1 year of direct patient care experience in an emergency setting
Other Requirements:
Night shift availability from 3 PM to 3 AM; flexibility to work varying days
On-call participation (two 24-hour on-call shifts every 8 weeks)
Minimum every other weekend work; at least two major holiday shifts and two minor holidays
Completed Wellstar cover sheet required with submissions
Must be willing to obtain necessary certifications if not already held
70-bed patient care unit experience preferred
