What You’ll Do:
As an RN in Labor & Delivery, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment. You’ll support mothers and families during exciting and critical moments, ensuring safety, compassion, and excellence in every interaction. Your expertise will contribute to positive patient outcomes and a welcoming experience for families during some of life’s most memorable moments.
Required Skills:
Valid RN license in your state (Single State or Multi-State Compact)
BLS certification (American Heart Association or ARC)
Excellent communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking)
Strong computer literacy and ability to utilize clinical technology
Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
Critical thinking, decisive decision-making, and ability to operate effectively under pressure
Proven time management skills and ability to work efficiently in a team-based setting
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with Epic electronic medical records system
Prior experience in Labor & Delivery or Maternal-Newborn care
Ability to handle high-stress situations with professionalism and calmness
Preferred Education and Experience:
Associate’s Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing (required)
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred)
Minimum of one year of direct patient care experience, preferably in L&D or similar high-acuity units
Other Requirements:
Availability to work day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with flexibility for varying days of the week
On-call availability as needed, with a commitment to work at least every other weekend
Participation in holiday rotations (minimum 2 major and 2 minor holidays annually)
Valid licensure and certifications must be current; willingness to obtain any necessary certifications if not already held
Must meet OSHA and hospital-specific compliance standards
A completed Wellstar cover sheet is required for each submission
