What You Bring to the Table – Required Skills and Qualifications
Associate degree in Radiologic Sciences; Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an allied health professional in a similar setting
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA)
Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) license in your state, with certification from The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Proficiency in Windows applications, medical imaging software, and data entry
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments
Knowledge of federal, state, and local radiation safety regulations and best practices
Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations
Preferred Attributes – Nice to Have Skills
Experience with PACS and digital archiving systems
Previous exposure to hemodynamic monitoring and complex cardiovascular procedures
Additional certifications such as Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), or related specialties
Familiarity with surgical or invasive cardiology procedures
Educational and Experience Preferences
Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Sciences or related fields
At least two years’ experience in a healthcare setting involving cardiac imaging and interventional procedures
Additional Requirements
Ability to work variable schedules, including night shifts and on-call hours
Valid licensure and certification documentation
Willingness to adhere to strict radiation safety and patient privacy protocols
Physical ability to lift and position patients and equipment; moderate exertion required
