Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center is looking for an experienced PICU nurse to provide top-tier care to our young patients. In this essential position, you will be responsible for delivering expert nursing care to critically ill children, utilizing your skills and knowledge to promote recovery and well-being. Your expertise will directly impact patients and families during some of their most challenging moments.
Required Skills:
Valid RN license (Single State or Multi-State Compact)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Excellent communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking)
Strong computer proficiency and ability to utilize healthcare technology
Exceptional interpersonal and collaborative skills
Ability to remain calm and decisive in emergency situations
Effective time management and organizational skills
Critical thinking and evidence-based nursing practices
Nice to Have Skills:
Epic Electronic Medical Records experience
Prior PICU or Pediatric Nursing experience
Instructor certifications such as BLS-I or PALS-I
Preferred Education and Experience:
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Less than one year of clinical nursing experience, with completion of an accredited nursing program
Willingness to obtain additional certifications if not already held
Other Requirements:
Shift availability for night hours, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM (VMS shift: 18:45 – 07:15)
Ability to pass certification verification and complete necessary documentation
Must be willing to obtain required certifications if not currently held
This position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $46.90, with weekly pay via direct deposit.
