Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join the operating room team at Wellstar Augusta University Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have recent OR experience and possess the necessary certifications upon hire. This position involves working day shifts with (4) 10-hour shifts per week, requiring flexibility to work varying days, including weekends and holidays as specified. On-call responsibilities are also part of the schedule. The RN will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment, utilizing strong critical thinking and collaborative skills to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) or ARC-BLS (American Red Cross Basic Life Support) required upon hire.
Minimum Experience: Less than 1 year of direct patient care experience.
Education: Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse); Bachelor’s Nursing preferred.
Licensing: RN - Single State or RN-COMPACT - Multi-state Compact.
Additional Skills: Excellent communication, technological proficiency, time management, and the ability to function effectively under pressure.
Schedule & Work Environment:
Shift: Day shift, 4 ten-hour shifts.
On Call: As needed.
Weekends: Minimum every other weekend.
Holidays: Minimum 2 major and 2 minor holidays.
Additional Notes:
A completed Wellstar cover sheet is required for each submission.
All certifications must be current upon hire.
This position involves working in a specialized surgical setting with direct patient care responsibilities.
