We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to provide exceptional patient care within a dynamic healthcare environment. Required Skills:
Valid State of Louisiana RN License
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Minimum of 2+ years of professional nursing experience, with preference for NICU specialization
Strong organizational, time management, and self-directed skills
Excellent judgment and interpersonal abilities
Effective communication and delegation skills within interdisciplinary teams
Ability to utilize data and information effectively to evaluate and improve patient outcomes
Nice to Have Skills:
Certification in clinical specialty areas related to neonatal care
Experience with patient and family education tailored to diverse populations
Additional coursework or training in neonatal nursing or critical care
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associates degree acceptable with significant NICU experience
At least 2 years of professional nursing practice, with previous NICU experience highly desired
Other Requirements:
Availability to work a 12-hour shift schedule, including overnight hours (12:00 AM to 12:00 AM)
Commitment to maintaining compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and institutional standards
Willingness to participate in continuing education and professional development activities
