Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) for the Labor & Delivery (L&D) unit at Wellstar Augusta University Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have experience in direct patient care within a fast-paced hospital environment, possess strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively on day shifts with varying days of the week. This position requires flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and be on call as needed.
Schedule & Requirements:
Day shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Must be available to work varying days of the week
On-call duties as needed
Minimum every other weekend; at least 2 major and 2 minor holidays annually
Must have current RN license (single state or multi-state compact)
Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) or ARC-BLS or BLS-I
Education: Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma (preferred Bachelors in Nursing)
Minimum Experience: Experience with direct patient care preferred
Skills: Excellent communication, proficiency in technology, critical thinking, time management, and ability to respond effectively during emergencies
