Join Our Team as an RN - IDD in California and Make a Difference in Lives Every Day!
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses (RN) to provide exceptional care for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) across multiple homes within a 5-10 mile radius. This vital role offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to residents’ well-being through standard nursing care and supportive assistance. Key Responsibilities:
Rotate between various residential settings within close proximity to ensure consistent care delivery.
Provide standard nursing care tailored to the needs of residents with IDD.
Assist with resident housing and support activities, fostering a safe and comfortable environment.
Collaborate with team members to ensure resident health, safety, and comfort.
While the role involves working in non-ambulatory environments, flexibility and willingness to support the residents' daily needs are essential.
Required Skills:
Current California RN license in good standing.
Prior experience working with individuals with IDD preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Competence in basic nursing procedures and documentation.
Nice to Have Skills:
Knowledge of behavioral health strategies for IDD populations.
Experience in residential or community-based care settings.
Certification in CPR and First Aid.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN or ADN).
At least 1-2 years of nursing experience, particularly with IDD clients.
Other Requirements:
Flexibility to work an 8-hour shift from 07:00 to 15:00.
Ability to rotate between multiple homes within the specified area.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred but not mandatory.
Willingness to assist with residents’ housing needs and daily activities.
