Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Room team at Wellstar Augusta University Medical Center. This is an agency position offering a dynamic and fast-paced work environment. The ideal candidate will have strong critical thinking skills, excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
Provide efficient and compassionate emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population.
Assess patient conditions, formulate care plans, and implement appropriate interventions.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Document patient care accurately and timely.
Respond effectively to emergencies, demonstrating decisive and respectful actions.
Qualifications:
Valid RN license (Single State or Multi-state Compact)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
PALS or ARC-PALS preferred
TNCC or ATCN preferred
ACLS or ARC-ALS preferred
Associates degree or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred
Less than 1 year of experience in direct patient care preferred
Strong computer and technology skills
Excellent time management and critical thinking skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle emergencies effectively
Must be willing to work night shift (7PM - 7:30AM), weekends, and holidays as outlined
Shift Details:
Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Schedule includes weekend rotations (minimum every other weekend)
On-call requirements: two 24-hour calls every 8 weeks
Holidays: minimum 2 major and 2 minor holidays
Compensation:
Hourly Pay Rate: $46.90
