Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Room at Wellstar Augusta University Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have experience in emergency nursing and hold necessary certifications, with a willingness to obtain additional certifications if needed. This position involves night shifts from 3 PM to 3 AM and requires flexibility to work varying days of the week, including weekends and holidays. The nurse will participate in on-call duties (two 24-hour calls every 8 weeks) and work a minimum of every other weekend. A completed Wellstar cover sheet is mandatory for each submission.
Qualifications:
Valid RN license (Single State or Multi-state Compact)
BLS or ARC-BLS certification (must be willing to obtain if not already held)
PALS (or equivalent, must be willing to obtain)
TNCC or ATCN (must be willing to obtain within 18 months)
ACLS (must be willing to obtain)
Associates or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor’s in Nursing preferred
Less than 1 year of direct patient care experience preferred
Strong interpersonal, collaborative, customer service, and critical thinking skills
Ability to function efficiently in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies with professionalism
Excellent time management and proficiency with basic computer skills
Shift Details:
Night shift: 3 PM – 3 AM
On-call: 2 shifts every 8 weeks, 24 hours each
Weekends: Minimum every other weekend
Holidays: Minimum 2 major and 2 minor holidays
Compensation:
Hourly Pay Rate: $46.90
