Psychologist - Mental Health Services in Whiteville, TN

What You’ll Do
  • Conduct psychological screenings and assessments based on records and clinical interviews
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and security staff
  • Develop, implement, and modify individual treatment plans for inmates
  • Perform rounds in confinement areas to assess inmate mental health and adjustment
  • Provide counseling interventions and crisis management for inmates in distress
  • Consult with healthcare and security staff to understand behavioral escalation and treatment needs
  • Ensure all treatments and assessments meet professional standards and facility protocols


What You Need
Required:
  • Current licensure eligibility (board eligible preferred)
  • Valid BLS certification (or pending) that meets facility requirements
  • Relevant mental health experience in a correctional or similar setting

Preferred:
  • Experience working with inmate populations
  • Strong collaborative and communication skills


About the Assignment
This role involves providing essential mental health services at a state-of-the-art correctional facility in Whiteville, Tennessee. As part of the mental health team, you will contribute to inmate well-being through assessment, treatment, and crisis intervention, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
