We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Polysomnographic Technician to deliver exceptional patient care across outpatient settings, including pediatric to geriatric populations. In this role, you will conduct sleep studies, prepare patients with PAP mask fittings, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure accurate data collection to support clinical decision-making. Your expertise will directly impact patients’ quality of life by effectively managing conditions such as sleep apnea, narcolepsy, and other sleep disorders.
Required Skills:
Minimum of 1 year experience in polysomnography; prior travel experience is mandatory
Current BLS, RPSGT or RRT-SDS certification
Valid Louisiana state licensure
Proficiency in therapeutic respiratory interventions, including CPAP and BiPAP
Ability to prepare and monitor sleep studies, including electrode placement and troubleshooting equipment
Ability to handle basic patient care and assist with ambulation
Tech-savvy with troubleshooting skills for sleep monitoring devices and electrode management
Strong communication skills and confidence to work independently as needed
Comfortable working with diverse patient populations from pediatrics to geriatrics
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with EMR systems such as Meditech Expanse
Familiarity with Alice Sleepware G3 or Nihon Kohden monitors
Experience working in multiple clinic settings or floating between locations
Preferred Education and Experience:
Certification as RPSGT or RRT-SDS
At least one year of polysomnography experience in a clinical or travel setting
Comfortable working with complex patients, including children under 6
Other Requirements:
Willingness to work alternate schedule shifts (Thursday-Saturday or Monday-Thursday, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM)
Weekend rotation every other week; no holiday or on-call duties
Must maintain a professional appearance, including wearing designated scrubs and badges
Ability to work independently with support available via phone or text
Travel between clinics (Bossier and Pierremont) as needed
State licensure and current certifications must be maintained
