What You’ll Do
Provide pediatric inpatient ward coverage for a pediatric unit with an average daily census of 16–18 patients
Perform newborn nursery examinations
Conduct pediatric consultations for the Emergency Department
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary pediatric care team, including subspecialists and intensivists
Work closely with a PICU supported by dedicated pediatric intensivists
Participate in teaching and education of pediatric residents and medical students
Deliver high-quality, patient-centered inpatient pediatric care aligned with organizational standards
What You Need
Required
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
Ability to reside within the immediate local area (local residency required)
Commitment to providing full-time inpatient pediatric care (details discussed during interview)
Not accepting locums candidates and not accepting visa candidates (per posting)
Preferred
Experience working in inpatient pediatric settings (not specified in posting)
About the Assignment
This permanent, full-time pediatric hospitalist opportunity supports inpatient care at a Level II Trauma Center serving northern Nevada and northeastern California. You’ll work within a collaborative pediatric program with strong subspecialty support, academic affiliation, and integrated care coordination, including close partnership with a dedicated PICU team.
