What You’ll Do
  • Provide pediatric inpatient ward coverage for a pediatric unit with an average daily census of 16–18 patients
  • Perform newborn nursery examinations
  • Conduct pediatric consultations for the Emergency Department
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary pediatric care team, including subspecialists and intensivists
  • Work closely with a PICU supported by dedicated pediatric intensivists
  • Participate in teaching and education of pediatric residents and medical students
  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered inpatient pediatric care aligned with organizational standards

What You Need
Required
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
  • Ability to reside within the immediate local area (local residency required)
  • Commitment to providing full-time inpatient pediatric care (details discussed during interview)
  • Not accepting locums candidates and not accepting visa candidates (per posting)

Preferred
  • Experience working in inpatient pediatric settings (not specified in posting)

About the Assignment
This permanent, full-time pediatric hospitalist opportunity supports inpatient care at a Level II Trauma Center serving northern Nevada and northeastern California. You’ll work within a collaborative pediatric program with strong subspecialty support, academic affiliation, and integrated care coordination, including close partnership with a dedicated PICU team.
