Exciting Opportunity for Board-Certified Rheumatologists: Locum Position in Jackson, MI

Required Skills:
Board certification in Rheumatology
Fellowship training in Rheumatology
Valid medical license for practice in Michigan
Proven experience in adult and geriatric rheumatology care
Proficiency in joint aspirations and corticosteroid injections
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with the Epic EMR system
Nice to Have Skills:
Prior locum or temporary clinical experience
Additional certifications in musculoskeletal procedures
Experience working in Level 2 trauma settings
Knowledge of administrative and billing processes related to rheumatology care
Preferred Education and Experience:
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
Fellowship training in Rheumatology
Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in rheumatology practice
Prior experience with adult and geriatric patient populations
Other Requirements:
Ability to start as early as February 2026 (credentialing may extend to April)
Willingness to provide clinic and hospital-based coverage, including 24-hour hospital call (2 weeks per month, 1:2 ratio)
Clinical proficiency in performing joint aspirations and injections
Local candidates preferred; travel reimbursements considered for qualified applicants
