Join Our Team as a Locum - Physician - Gastroenterology in Jackson, MI
Are you a dedicated Gastroenterologist seeking flexible, rewarding locum opportunities? The Henry Ford Jackson Outpatient Digestive Health Center invites skilled physicians to provide exceptional gastrointestinal care in a vibrant outpatient setting. As a key member of our team, you will perform advanced GI procedures such as colonoscopy, EGD, and ERCP, supported by a dedicated clinical staff. With no call requirements and a predictable schedule, you can focus on delivering quality patient care and maintaining work-life balance. This position offers the flexibility to work Mondays and Fridays from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with no weekend or night shifts.
Required Skills:
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology
Valid medical license for practice in Michigan or eligible for licensure
Proven proficiency in colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, and advanced GI procedures
Strong patient communication skills and clinical judgment
Ability to work independently within a team environment
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience working in outpatient digestive health centers
Familiarity with Epic EMR system
Previous locum or hospital-based experience
Preferred Education and Experience:
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
Completion of a gastroenterology fellowship
At least 2 years of clinical practice experience in gastroenterology
Other Requirements:
Candidates must be local to Jackson, MI, as travel reimbursement is limited to mileage
Active state medical license or eligibility for licensure in Michigan
