Required Skills:
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
Valid medical license to practice in Alaska
Proven experience in general medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, or orthopedic surgery
Strong interview and physical assessment skills, including range of motion and muscle strength testing
Ability to perform compensation and pension exams and separation health assessments
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Comfortable working independently in a clinical setting
Nice to Have Skills:
Prior experience with Veterans' health assessments or government contracts
Familiarity with medical documentation and reporting requirements
Certification in relevant specialties or additional training in occupational health or disability evaluations
Preferred Education and Experience:
MD or DO degree from an accredited program
At least 2 years of post-residency clinical experience in general or internal medicine
Experience performing compensation and pension exams or related assessments preferred but not required
Other Requirements:
Candidate must have their own office location within designated areas—Juneau or Sitka (within 50 miles) and Delta Junction (within 75 miles)—with availability for half or full-day sessions
Willingness to commit to ongoing PRN assignments, including administrative follow-up work (addendums, reports)
Local candidates only; travel expenses are included in the pay rate
No prescriptive authority or treatment responsibilities
Availability to start on or after February 2, 2026
