We are actively seeking a highly skilled Locum Physician specializing in Urology to provide vital inpatient care at Bon Secours - St. Francis Downtown. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical skills in general urology and ureteroscopy, with a focus on inpatient services. You'll join a team of experienced urologists in a hospital setting with onsite lab and X-ray facilities, supporting Level 3 trauma patients. This dynamic role requires adaptability, excellent communication, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Key qualifications include board certification or eligibility in Urology, valid medical license, and demonstrated proficiency in general urology procedures such as ureteroscopy. Candidates should possess excellent clinical judgment, attention to detail, and the adaptability to work 24-hour shifts—including weekends and callbacks—on an as-needed basis.
Preferred skills that will enhance your application include previous experience in high-volume inpatient urology, familiarity with trauma-level facilities, and experience working alongside multidisciplinary teams. Additional skills in managing adult and geriatric populations are essential.
The preferred candidate will have completed a Urology residency and hold current medical licensure appropriate for practice in South Carolina, with at least one year of recent inpatient experience. Flexibility to work varied shifts and cover open dates across multiple weeks is advantageous.

Availability for multiple upcoming coverage periods (May through July 2026)
Willingness to work 24-hour shifts, including weekends and callbacks
Ability to travel (flight, hotel, rental car, mileage) reimbursed per IRS standards if applicable
Must successfully pass all credentialing and background checks
