Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Urologist to join our hospital-based practice on a locum to permanent basis. This role is ideal for physicians interested in transitioning to full-time employed positions, offering the flexibility of locum coverage with the potential for permanent employment. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive inpatient urological care within a Level 3 trauma facility, contributing to a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive general urological care to adult and geriatric patients.
Perform advanced procedures, including ureteroscopy, in accordance with hospital standards.
Manage inpatient urological cases in a hospital setting, ensuring appropriate diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up.
Collaborate closely with other urologists and healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Contribute to the 24/7 inpatient APC support team to ensure continuous coverage.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to hospital protocols and policies.
Qualifications:
Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with valid medical licensure in South Carolina.
Board certification or eligibility in Urology.
Proven experience in general urology with skills in ureteroscopy.
Ability to provide inpatient care in a fast-paced, trauma-level facility.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Commitment to delivering excellent patient care and maintaining professional standards.
